House prices increase by 2.6%

According to figures issued by the EU’s statistical office Eurostat, the price of houses in Malta has increased by 2.6 per cent during the second quarter of 2015. The increase in prices has slowed down by 0.3 per cent compared to the change in the previous quarter. The drop in the Maltese house price percentage increase was the second highest drop among EU states.

The prices in EU states increased by 2.3 per cent when compared to the same period last year. Similarly the euro area registered a 1.1 per cent increase compared to the same quarter last year.
